Adventures at Anime NYC 2017 - Day 1

Alright time to tell you about my journey at the first AnimeNYC. I attended all three days and had some goals to accomplish. As always...SHOPPING!! Plus, freebies!!!! Try to have fun in cosplay and bump into some friends.

The adventure begins with Day 1. The hunt for items before they run out, especially promotional items that are not for sale. But first! Before I was able to enter the show floor, I had to get my inaugural AnimeNYC pin, which was a breeze. I was surprised to see that it really looks bright gold and not bright yellow. Sometimes gold as a color on items can come out dark or dull looking. Next it was waiting on a long line to get into the show floor. “Long” as in it extended and coiled like a snake in the spacious lobby. The wait wasn't terrible, but once I got in, I dashed to what I needed to get first!

If you missed the first Anime NYC, check out the video for a view of the showfloor! It was on one floor of the Jacob Javits Convention Center and vendors included but not limited to anime conventions, retailers, gaming, bento box maker and anime and manga companies. Enjoy!

Aniplex of America to Simulcast Vividred Operation on Hulu and Crunchyroll

The Director of “Strike Witches”
presents his highly anticipated
new anime series of this season.

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 8, 2013)–Aniplex of America has just announced the simulcast of one the most anticipated anime series this year, VIVIDRED OPERATION. This brand new series is directed by Kazuhiro Takamura, the same director who also produced the popular anime series Strike Witches. VIVIDRED OPERATION is also being produced by A-1 Pictures, the same studio who produced the hit series Sword Art Online.

Aniplex of America announces Blast of Tempest will be streaming on Crunchyroll

after it airs in Japan starting in October

SANTA MONICA, CA (October 1, 2012) – Aniplex of America announces the new anime series Blast of Tempest will be streaming on Crunchyroll. This brand new animated murder-mystery is one of the highly anticipated series of this fall. A couple hours after its broadcast in Japan, Blast of Tempest will be available for streaming in the following territories: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The 1st episode will premiere at 10:00am PST on Thursday, October 4th for Crunchyroll premium members. Free members will be able to view Blast of Tempest one week after initial broadcast on Crunchyroll (www.crunchyroll.com/zetsuen).
