El Segundo, Calif. (July 1, 2015) – Music City was turned into Yu-Gi-Oh! City this past weekend as Duelists from across the United States and Canada showcased their Dueling and Deck-building skill in Nashville, Tennessee at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) North American World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) and the Dragon Duel North American WCQ for those born in 2002 or later. WILL TEST SKILLS AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The Nashville Music City Center was jumping with excitement as Duelists intent on representing North America in Kyoto, Japan were waging epic back-and-forth card battles. After rounds and rounds of Dueling, it was a weary yet excited Noah Reid Greene from Carrollton, GA that held the trophy and smiled for the photo knowing he was traveling overseas to battle for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship representing Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KDE-US).
Greene leaves Nashville with a massive stack of prizes that includes: a Championship Trophy; an invitation to the World Championship; paid travel and accommodations; complete sets of Secrets of Eternity and Crossed Souls Booster Sets; a 64 GB iPad; and will receive a personalized jersey upon arrival in Kyoto to wear proudly while competing at the World Championship. In addition to Greene, five of his peers: Chase Robert Cunningham of Wyoming, MI; Maxwell Bryan Schrack from Glen Burnie, MD, Miguel David Soto, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Matt Kolenda from Niles, IL and Jacob David Phinney of Blanch, NC also earned invitations and travel accommodations to Kyoto to Duel at the World Championship, plus a plethora of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dragon Duel North American World Championship Qualifier, for those born in 2002 or later, was a nail biter as Austin Wesley Colling, from Jefferson, OH, worked his way through a stellar field of competitors. Colling creatively and wisely played his hand and came out the winner at the end. Colling won a bevy of prizes that included: a Championship Trophy; an invitation to the World Championship; paid travel and accommodations; complete sets of Secrets of Eternity and Crossed Souls; 64 GB iPad; personalized shirt; additional Super Rare copy of YCS Prize Card; and 48 packs from recent booster sets. Joining Colling and earning his way to Japan was Nathaniel DeAndre Mason, from St. Paul, MN.
