Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. is pleased to announce the dates of the summer Yu-Gi-Oh! Day for 2015, on either Saturday July 25, or Sunday July 26, depending on the availability of the participating Official Tournament Store (OTS) locations. Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is a day for all fans to celebrate the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand with a special tournament at Official Tournament Stores throughout North and Latin America.
This Yu-Gi-Oh! Day is designed to create synergy with the upcoming launch of the Synchron Extreme Structure Deck, by showcasing Yusei and his Synchro Monsters on the special event prizes! The Synchron Extreme Structure Deck, inspired by Yusei’s Deck from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s anime and manga series, releases nationwide on August 27 at Official Tournament Stores and August 29 at all other retailers.
KONAMI has designed a day of fun and gameplay for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG crowd with this special event, giving Duelists looking for an opportunity to play other Duelists at the local level a venue to Duel. These tournaments will utilize an Advanced Swiss format with no playoff top cut. Each participating store hosting a Yu-Gi-Oh! Day will have great prizes for winning Duelists including a unique Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Game Mat featuring Yusei flanked by his awesome Synchro Monsters, and an exclusive Yu-Gi-Oh! Day Super Rare Token Card. The entry fee to participate is $5 and each player will receive this amount in commensurate prizing (product given is up to the discretion of the participating OTS).
