Monsters, sexy witches, guns and fast paced action. That is what awaits you in Bayonetta. This is Chet again, and this a review on the Bayonetta demo that I played at NYAF 2009. I am aware that Bayonetta has been out for some time now. However, if you are interested in this game and have not purchased it yet, this may be just the push you need to make a decision.

New York Anime Festival 2009 Masquerade

The New York Anime Festival 2009 Yume Cosplay Masquerade was held on Saturday, September 26, 2009, started after 6:30pm and ended close to 11:00pm. The big cosplay event was held in the ANA Theater, which were rooms 1A08-12, and the overflow rooms 1A24 and 1A23. The ANA Theater had the stage and live performance, while the overflow rooms had a screen displaying a live feed of the stage performances. Because of the excitement, many waited eagerly for the doors to open. The waiting area was too small for a continuous straight line, but that did not stop the event from happening. The line was probably longer than a python, and it curved and swung around like a snake. Convention attendees wanted to see the cosplayers and what the performers had in store for them.

Lolita Fashion at New York Anime Festival 2009

Hello Everyone!

One of the apparent visual aspects at the New York Anime Festival 2009 was the lolita fashion. Compared to previous New York Anime Festivals, there were more booths selling lolita fashion merchandise. However, it was hard to find all lolita fashion dressers in a crowd. As a result, at the festival exhibition hall, most of my time was spent on taking pictures of those who wore the fashion and just the clothing itself. Whenever I saw lolita fashion I just had to take pictures of it.

While I was pondering about up coming conventions this year, I found myself thinking about the last New York Anime Festival in 2009. So while I wait for days to pass by, bringing me closer to the next convention date, I shall give you all some impressions of the New York Anime Festival 2009, NYAF 2009.

Legal Panels at NYAF 2009

For those of you who are interested in learning more about the industry or just interested in legal mumble jumble stuff, there are two panels at New York Anime Festival 2009 that you might want to check out. The New York Anime Festival and New York Comic Con are joining together with the Brooklyn Book Festival to host comics publishers, dealers, and guests, and we'd love to have you come on by, too! NYAF 2009 Maid and Butler Volunteer Form

I found that NYAF 2009 is having a maid cafe volunteer opportunity. There are few things you should be aware about. Please click on the link and read the details, which specify age requirements for those who are 18 and those who are 16. I just picked out a select few details, so it is not all the information or requirements.

Please note NYAF is no longer accepting general volunteers; however, Maid Café submissions are now open!

To volunteer, you must purchase a weekend pass to the New York Anime Festival and fill out and return this form. Following the completion of the New York Anime Festival, your weekend pass will be refunded and your maid costume will be yours to keep.

The deadline to submit this volunteer form is July 15, 2009.
