Tokyopop Closing on May 31, 2011

Tokyopop will be closing its Los Angeles, California based publishing operations. However, its film, TV, European operations, and international rights sales will continue to function.

Borders Group Inc. and Bookstores: Status and Effects

Lately, in the business world, we been hearing about the status of Borders. There were ups and downs in sales; closing of stores and centers; people losing jobs; delaying in payments and now a Bankruptcy Counsel is involved. Unfortunately, manga sales has been down, and one well known distributor is not shipping new products to or restocking at Borders. Who knows how many more distributors or publishers will put Borders on hold. Borders has been the place to buy discounted new manga volumes, and I hope it continues to be that for me.

Now things are getting worst. It might close...

GK World - First Order

One of my goals at New York Comic Con/New York Anime Festival 2010 was to shop! Yes, to buy items that one may not be able to find locally. Even though New York City has the Nintendo World Store, it does not always have the items that I desire. I have been searching and waiting patiently for Kirby plush toys, specifically Kirby Adventure plush toys that has individualized Kirby abilities.
