Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Battle Pack: Epic Dawn

KONAMI DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT CREATES NEW BLOCKBUSTER Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME

DUELING EXPERIENCE WITH BATTLE PACK: EPIC DAWN

First Booster Set Designed for Sealed Pack Play

El Segundo, CA (May 4, 2012)
– With ten years of booster packs, Structure Decks and Starter Decks under its belt, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (Konami) is now unleashing the greatest Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME booster set ever: Battle Pack: Epic Dawn. The 220-card Epic Dawn booster set (MSRP $1.99 per pack) crashes onto store shelves on May 29th packed with enough monsters, Spells and Traps for Duelists and their friends to immediately jump into sealed pack play!

The Konami development team specifically designed Epic Dawn for sealed pack play between two or more friends. For sealed pack gaming, Duelists just divide up an even number of packs between each player and play with just the cards found in those packs! Sealed pack games test each player’s ability to create bold new strategies on the fly no matter what hand they’re dealt!

Epic Dawn contains amazing previously-released cards that are perfect to include in a regular Deck or even a collection, such as Tour Guide From the Underworld, Fabled Raven, Gem-Knight Pearl (from the Duel Terminal arcade machines), Doomcaliber Knight, Forbidden Lance, and Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon! Inside each five-card booster pack, Duelists will find one rare card with a special glossy black or glossy white card name. These rare cards are game changers that will quickly turn a Duel around the moment they’re put into play! Additionally, the packs hold three common cards, each chosen to fill a unique role. One card will be a high ATK monster, another will be a monster with powerful effects and the final card will either have the ability to take out an opponent’s card or alter the course of the battle!

If that isn’t enough fire power, the fifth card in the pack is the wild card, because it could be any of the 220 cards in the set… plus, it’s guaranteed to be a brand-new card type, a Starfoil Card! Starfoil Cards are sparkly, shiny cards similar to the cards only available in Duel Terminal arcade machines at your neighborhood Official Tournament Stores. Duelists can grab sparkly versions of all of the cards in the set, such as Gorz the Emissary of Darkness, Dark Magician of Chaos, Gagaga Magician, and Caius the Shadow Monarch!

Each Battle Pack: Epic Dawn pack contains five cards:
One Rare Card (with glossy white or glossy black title)
One Starfoil Card
Three Common Cards

The Battle Pack: Epic Dawn set contains 220 cards:
55 Rare Cards
165 Common Cards
(Plus, all 220 cards are also available as Starfoil Cards)
