Connecticon 2014 – J-Fashion Show

This was an event that I was looking forward to at Connecticon.

The line of attendees patiently waiting for the doors to open. Quite evident of the show’s popularity.

This was a very unusual audience seating. We all sat on the floor and no chairs to be found.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the diverse representations of Japanese fashion. I wasn’t familiar with many of the styles, while others I recognized. Even though the fashion show had been at Connecticon for many years, it still provided a good introduction to the Japanese fashion scene, not leaving anyone out. The slides with the type of fashion portrayed by the models was most helpful, while the host provided an informative verbal description of the attire. However, regardless of how much one knows, this was definitely a good event for anyone interested in Japanese fashion. Thanks for reading!
