I don’t remember exactly how I learned about the movie or character, but do remember looking up as many photos as possible including those from a professional agency. Basically, I made the outfit before the movie came out. I picked the character because of the outfit. I like the tough yet feminine look it has plus I figured could finally have a non-anime related character cosplay for New York Comic Con.

The Love Live! Adventure at Anime Boston 2016
It was announced that KLabs, the people behind the online mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival, was going to be at the convention. Not too long before the announcement I learned of Love Live! because I started watching the anime. I knew it had a fan base. Unfortunately, I had no idea how HUGE the fan base was.
On Friday, I was casually browsing around the Dealers Room to see what the vendors had to offer. Around early afternoon, I reached the KLabs booth and asked about the products they were selling. To my astonishment, the merchandise was sold out within the first hour of the opening! There was nothing left to buy that day. That’s when I knew how extremely popular Love Live! was.

Activities at Winter Con 2015
Day 1
Treasure Chest booth. Yes, people played the game and won the consoles. I was contemplating whether or not I should play.

Adventures at Winter Con 2015
This was my first Winter Con and my initial concern was that it was in the middle of nowhere, sort of. It’s pretty deep in Queens and I never been at that area. I did look up the location, and it is located in a casino. Next was trying to figure out HOW to get there.
Unlike the MTA, the casino’s shuttle bus service does not have proper signage at their stops, so I had a difficult time figuring out where I should actually wait for this bus. Luckily, before the day of the con, I spotted a casino bus and ask the driver where I should wait for the bus tomorrow. So on the day of, I waited 10 minutes prior to where I was supposed to stand.
