Spike Spiegel at 2016 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships

Yes, you read that correctly. Spike Spiegel, the male character with his iconic blue suit, yellow shirt and black tie from Cowboy Bebop, made an appearance at the 2016 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships in the Short Program. He was portrayed by Kevin Reynolds, a senior level Canadian skater, who is a three-time Canadian silver medalist. Except this time, he ended up with the bronze medal. Unfortunately, he will not be making an appearance at the 2016 ISU World Figure Skating Championship in March, he was not assigned to that competition. Thinking about it though, if he did compete, how would the international judges panel score him? Would they like the music? Some conservative judges may not. Would he have made it to the podium? I guess we will never know.

Oh yeah, he also skated to Chrono Trigger by Yasunori Mitsuda and The Legend of Zelda by Koji Kondo as his Free Skate program for 2011 to 2012 season and 2014 to 2015 season, respectively. Too bad I can't find his National competitions for these programs.
