Costa and Fuso Open the COBRA FILES!
New G.I. JOE Ongoing Series Begins TODAY!

San Diego, CA (April 10, 2013)
– IDW Publishing is thrilled to announce the final title in the 2013 relaunch of their G.I. JOE line, G.I. JOE: THE COBRA FILES, kicks off today!

The series, based on the brand from Hasbro, is helmed by the veteran G.I. JOE creative team of writer Mike Costa and artist Antonio Fuso. THE COBRA FILES tells the dark, character-driven story of CHAMELEON, a former COBRA agent who’s found her way into the G.I. JOE’s ranks! While she may appear to have the best of intentions, how sure of her loyalty can the G.I. JOE team be?

"Antonio and I are thrilled to be able to bring fans the next chapter in our COBRA series, where everything goes wrong for our heroes,” said series writer Mike Costa. “More wrong, even, than usual in a book where the bad guys always get to win! The stakes are higher, the emotions are more intense, and the action is extreme. I haven't had this much fun since the book first started!"

Pairing the explosive adventure of Fred Van Lente and Steve Kurth’s G.I. JOE with the military action of Chuck Dixon and Paul Gulacy’s G.I. JOE: SPECIAL MISSIONS, and packing espionage-tinged intrigue and some unique tricks of its own, G.I. JOE: THE COBRA FILES is the perfect book to round out IDW’s exciting new complement of G.I. JOE comics!

In addition to Fuso’s eye-catching, fan-favorite covers, those that delve deep into G.I. JOE: THE COBRA FILES will also be treated to all-star covers from Michael Lark, Jamal Igle, and Brandon Peterson with a special “CobraGraphic” cover by Tom Whalen!

Whether readers are die-hard G.I. JOE fans or new readers looking for a perfect jumping-on point, G.I. JOE: THE COBRA FILES will provide a thrilling experience for comic fans of all ranks!
