Honestly speaking, this is the first time that I have seen a Huntress at a convention, period, including New York Comic Con. So, when I spotted this cosplayer in the Artist Alley, and I was hyped, because she looked like Huntress from the comics! I ended up asking her if she was Huntress and she was! :3
Kyoko Sakura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. When I first spotted Kyoko, her staff looked like a regular solid one piece staff. It was not until she opened it that I realized it was a three part chained staff. Very cool! Now if someone can make a retractable version…
My favorite Ninja Turtle, Michelangelo! The head looks similar to the movie version, maybe the first one? Regardless, it still looks pretty cool to me!
Female version of Luigi from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for Nintendo 3DS. Ok, I spotted her on the Weapons Check line and her vaccum back pack looks freaking awesome!
Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII-2. You know what’s cool about this cosplay and the cosplayer? She actually works with and used metal parts for the outfit. Here’s the part that surprised me the most; it’s her first cosplay! I asked if she had a cosplay site and she said no cause this was her first outfit. I was like really! It looks awesome!
Princess Kakyuu from Sailor Moon. When I saw her in the Dealers Room, I was like wow she wears the outfit well. I told her that she made the outfit look good on her and she was pleased. Hey wouldn’t you be, right?
Female interpretation of Iron Man. Looks well put together to me! Especially the lights coming from her chest and hand.
Sailor Pluto from Sailor Moon x Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony. Ok, this one took me a few good seconds to figure out who she was. I’m sure she noticed my eyes and head following her for about 3 seconds. I asked her if she was cosplaying as Sailor Pluto and Twilight Sparkle. Yes, she was. Very very creative in putting two different characters from two different series together. Can you see the lights in the staff? They actually switch back and forth, on and off between each other. :-) Yes, she built that in herself.
Usagi Tsukino/Serena Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba/Darien Shields from Sailor Moon. This is the first time that I have seen a Sailor Moon wedding cosplay. After I took a picture and walked away, my friend was curious if the couple was actually married. I decided to go back to the cosplayers and popped the question. They been married since this February. Awww.
Goofy Sailor Scouts! I told Sailor Venus that the blond wig looks nice on her (had to double check if it really was a wig) and after looking at the goofy pose photo, I'm wondering how did Sailor Mercury make that face. O_O??
The Guardians with the evil Pitch, but missing Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. I spotted the Tooth Fairy and asked to take a picture. Then I realized Pitch, Sandman and Jack Frost was there when they all posed for the photo. Oops. XP
Look closely and you’ll see a Papi, aka male version of Mami Tomoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Possible reenactment of episode 3 in the Dealers Room?
Chino Kotomura from Inu x Boku Secret Service in her Youkai form! Have you ever had one of those moments where you go “something about this looks familiar?” Well, it happened to me here. I was leaving the Dealers Room and I spotted the big leaf. I couldn't figure out why there was something familiar about it. Then I looked at the cosplay outfit and noticed the hair. I asked the girl if she was from Inu x Boku Secret Service and bingo(!) she was! Kotomura is a very cute character.
WONDER WOMAN! Awesome and creative interpretation of her mightiness.
Borderlands 2 cosplay. Yes, those are lights. O_O
Mayu from Vocaloid. This was another one of those this was familiar moment. XD While she was walking pass me, I spotted a circular object on her head and was trying to figure out where it was from. Then I looked at her outfit and noticed the piano keys. Once I spotted her ax that's when I realized she was Mayu! I been thinking about cosplaying as her too. :3
Ultimate Madoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I asked her about the pink skirt and she manually placed each of the gem onto the purple side. While she showed me the placements/designs, she told me that it took her about 4 hours to complete. The results was quite impressive.
