Anime Boston 2012 - Anime Unscripted

This was an event that I was looking forward to at the convention. Even though I missed part of the show (guessing 30 minutes), the less than comical talent was not expected. I was disappointed in the performance, because it did not end my night with laughter. Instead, I got two actors with no comical skills, while the others were the only ones who gave me a good laugh.

Here we have Chris Ayres at the podium, who delivered his character with comical, yet serious, responses. The other actors (left to right) Keith Silverstein, Carli Mosier and Greg Ayres had to ask questions that referred to the situation that Chris's character was in. However, Chris has no knowledge of said situation and had to figure out what it was. Unfortunately, he actually had NO IDEA what the actors were talking about. He literally said “I have no idea what you're talking about” and I recall one of the actors trying to spoon feed him the answer. It took a while, but he did fine in the end.

Media Report: Lolita Fashion at Anime Boston 2012

On Saturday April 7 at 2pm was the start of the Lolita Fashion: Style for The Frilly Masses panel. It began with a 90 minute slide show presentation introducing the fashion, the styles, like Wa and Pirate, and the type of clothing pieces, such as tops and bottoms, involved in it. Following the presentation was the fashion show. Enjoy the photos below!

Cosplay at Anime Boston 2012

Here is one of my photos from earlier in the day taken right outside the convention hall, Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Initially, I spotted Mami and asked her for a picture. Right next to her was Kyoko, Homura and Sayaka, who all decided to join in. While I was looking at my LCD screen, I noticed my friend pointing at something. When I looked at the direction that he was pointing at, I saw Madoka coming over. She decided to join the photo and there you have it right above.

Media Report: Anime Boston 2012

One of the many events that people attend is the Opening Ceremony. It is supposed to be the event that opens the convention, but for some reason other activities like the Anime and Hollywood panel and Black Butler Season 2 screening coincides with it. I would have thought the opening ceremony came or at least start up first prior to other activities.

Regardless, many people attended the ceremony to see their favorite voice actors and the mascots of Anime Boston. Plus, the presenters threw freebies out into the audience. I think they were t-shirts…
