NCM FATHOM TEAMS AGAIN WITH BANDAI ENTERTAINMENT TO BRING EXCLUSIVE ONE-NIGHT ANIME EVENT TO THE BIG SCREEN THIS FALL

Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers Highly Anticipated U.S. Debut Hits Select Movie Theaters Nationwide this September

Los Angeles & Centennial, Colo. – July 3, 2009 – NCM Fathom, the alternative entertainment division of National CineMedia, announced today an agreement with Bandai Entertainment to present the English-dubbed version of Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers exclusively in select movie theaters nationwide on September 24th. Through this agreement, Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers will be shown in a one-night event featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the animation production and the making of the English version of Eureka Seven.

The Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers anime event will be offered across NCM’s exclusive Digital Broadcast Network (DBN) – North America’s largest cinema broadcast network that reaches nearly 500 movie theaters and performing arts centers throughout the country. Tickets will be available beginning Friday, August 21st. Visit www.FathomEvents.com to learn more.

Bandai Entertainment and Fathom presented Sword of the Stranger – an exhilarating samurai anime tale – in more than 360 movie theaters earlier this year.

“We’re thrilled to be working with NCM Fathom to bring Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers to the big screen where a theatrical anime feature like this is meant to be seen,” said Robert Napton, director of marketing for Bandai Entertainment.

Acclaimed Japanese anime studio BONES (“Cowboy Bebop - The Movie,” “Sword of the Stranger” and “Fullmetal Alchemist”) brings Eureka Seven – Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers to life for this one-night exclusive event. For almost half a century, mankind has battled a mysterious organism from space called “EIZO.” In 2054, Renton, a young soldier, boards a fighter aircraft battling “EIZO.” The young soldier heads for the battlefield with a dream: to rescue his childhood friend, Eureka, who was kidnapped eight years ago. Fate, however, brings tribulations to test the young love between Renton and Eureka as the final battle with “EIZO” approaches.

“Fathom offers consumers a variety of affordable, one-of-a-kind cinema events, including anime, Off-Broadway productions, opera, concerts and a slate of special live town hall discussions sure to entertain people from all walks of life,” said Dan Diamond, vice president of Fathom. “This agreement with Bandai Entertainment offers anime fans a unique opportunity to experience this highly anticipated event in the comfort of their local movie theater.”
